The Scarecrow  itself is actually a two metre high metal sculpture designed and created by the local community in 2009 as part of a wider East Gippsland art event.
It stands proudly on the road reserve facing the Princes Highway at the corner of Woods Road, Cabbage Tree Creek - alongside the bus stop.
