VICTORIAN PLACES
A website about all Victorian places that have or once had a population of 200 or more.  Contains a good history of Cabbage Tree Creek with a few photographs, including one of the General Store from 2000 when it was still serving petrol.
VICTORIAN HERITAGE DATABASE
Holds a photograph of the old Cabbage Tree Creek bridge, built in about 1938, with an interesting paragraph about its historical significance.  Unfortunately the old bridge was destroyed by flood in 1998.

Information about their services. They provide acute, emergency, medical, surgical and obstetric services, and are a leader in the provision of small town rural birthing services in Victoria. There is also an array of community health, welfare and aged care services.

Information about the East Gippsland area, services and municipal matters - library locations, etc. 
EAST GIPPSLAND ART GALLERY
East Gippsland Art Gallery is principally funded by East Gippsland Shire Council and is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and is the focus point for visual arts in East Gippsland.  The Gallery showcases an average of 20 exhibitions per year, across all art forms and media and features local artists as well as artists from intrastate, interstate and abroad.
ORBOST - ON THE VISIT VICTORIA WEBSITE
Orbost is located on the Snowy River about 27 kilometres west of Cabbage Tree Creek and is its nearest large township.
BEMM RIVER
Bemm River is famous for its fishing but in more recent times other nature based activities have also attracted holiday makers to the area including bird watchers, eco-tourists and hikers.
BEMM RIVER ANGLING CLUB
Lots  of information about fishing on Sydenham Inlet and nearby ocean beaches.

A beautiful town in East Gippsland renowned for its caves, limestone cliffs and the Snowy River.

GIPPSLAND OPERA COMPANY
Gippsland Opera Company was founded by Keith and Andrea Ford to encourage young classical singers by providing stage experience and networks to explore other opportunities.  They presently stage four or five seasonal concerts in Bairnsdale and are now annually presenting "Opera by the Lakes" at Nyerimilang Park.
