Cabbage Tree Creek Community Hall
Cabbage Tree Creek Community Hall was opened in September 1956 and was well used by the thriving community of that time for a variety of uses including dances and badminton tournaments.
With the decline of the sawmills in the 1970s and 80s the hall was not needed and its condition deteriorated. In recent years due to the efforts of the hall committee of management some major repairs have been carried out and the hall will soon be again available for public use. The Hall Committee has raised funds for the reinstatement of the building but the major costs have been met by specific grants from the Department of Sustainability and Environment and from the East Gippsland Shire Council |
